The Management of Teekay Shipping and Maersk Tankers are delighted to announce the establishment of Swift Tankers effective January 1 2007.
With the obvious synergies in fleet composition and company values the partners have decided to combine marketing efforts under the name Swift Tankers for their activities in the Small and Intermediate segments.
The pool will be headquartered in Copenhagen in Maersk Tankers existing premises supplemented by a regional office at the Teekay offices in Stavanger.
Personnel from both organisations have been seconded to Swift Tankers.
